   - A nice clean Park to visit

   This place is a gem. It is only minutes from the Hospital when you need a break also. I enjoy the walking trail and seeing the children playing on the Playground equipment. There is also a basketball court there. The restrooms and this whole park are very clean. Even the parking lot was not bad. If they had a trash can in the parking lot area I believe the small trash would not be there. The grass areas are very clean and most would enjoy a picnic there. There is a grocery store to purchase your picnic supplies less than 6 minutes away. There are also several fast food places just 5 minutes away for those who do not want picnic items!! See more..

   Contra Loma Park is a great place for picnics, fishing, swimming, hiking or walking on many of the trails in the park. There are many trail I have not experienced yet. The scenery is nice and soothing to the soul! Just stop by one day and take a look. You will be glad you did! Also, the park have a Baseball Diamond too. I think they play soccer there also!    The fairgrounds comes alive during the season with dirt track racing. There are many classes of cars that race there weekly. If you live in Antioch, you probably hear them anyhow, you might as well see them too. I just took my 3 year old grandson and he was extremely excited. As a word of caution: if your children are sensitive to loud noises, bring eat protection for them. It is such good clean fun and when you start to get to know the drivers it gets even more fun.
