Extreme Mini Golf is full of fun and frustration. Built on a former dairy farm this 9-hole golf course rolls through beautiful gardens and is sure to challenge any mini golf enthusiast. Golfers are allowed to go through the course twice for a total of eighteen holes. Champ's Trading Post offers a large selection of maple foods and gifts, jams and jellies many of which are made right on the farm. See more..

What a beautiful vista once you reach the top. I say it's an intermediate hike but my 3 year old granddaughter hiked to the top with no difficulty. See more..
  4. 4.5 D.A.R. State Park (11 reviews)
    - Beautifully managed public space
Spent < 1 hour State Parks • Beaches • Nature & Wildlife Areas
Kudos to park manager James and his outgoing helpful assistant. We found this a delightful place to camp and appreciate very much clean bathhouses and grounds. Sites are well separated with terrific greenery surrounding each site. We enjoyed walking the grounds with our two dogs and enjoyed the rocky beach with beautiful view of Lake Champlain. See more..
  5. 4.5 DAR John Strong Mansion Museum (2 reviews)
    - Well Worth a Visit
    Speciality Museums
We discovered this historic gem on a recent trip to the Champlain Valley. As history enthusiasts, we felt fortunate to be there on the right day. The museum is only open on weekends and holidays during the summer. It is well worth a visit. For an hour or so, visitors are taken back to life during Colonial times. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She tailored the presentation to our interests and the time we had available. The exhibit rooms demonstrate how five generations of this prominent family lived. Their interesting story was woven into information about the history of the area as it evolved over the years. The admission fee was quite reasonable and there is a discount for senior citizens. See more..
  6. 4.0 Chimney Point State Historic Site (11 reviews)
    - Lots of History, Well Explained
    Historic Sites
Chimney Point State Historic Site image
Put in at the McCuen Slang Access, south of Chimney Point, for a day of kayaking on Lake Champlain. Headed south from the access then north, as we returned to the landing we passed the Chimney Point landing and noticed the presence of a dock and a port-a-pottle. Getting back to the McCuen Slang Access we decided to check out the Chimney Point Site. Being November the site was closed. This was not a problem as there were a number of signs placed on the site which told the story of the history and significance of the site. See more..
