We booked a private boat tour to visit North Caicos (from Provo). Captain D with One Stop Sporting Shop was the highlight of our trip! Snorkeling, fishing, spotting conch, swimming with dolphins, seeing parts of the islands that not many people get to see, eating lunch at a local restaurant (food was better than any we’ve had) and so much more! Captain D picked us up from Seven Stars right on the beach and brought us back at the end of the day. It was an amazing day. Captain D is a fantastic guy and we felt lucky to have found him. 7 of us stayed at Grace on the Bay in North Caicos. This is not Provo so be prepared to commune with nature! No street signs (well one or two) no street lights no shopping malls and just a few local restaurants so get everything you need on Provo before boarding the ferry. Also last ferry to this paradise is 4:30. So don't plan on traveling into Provo for dinner :). We were the only people on the beach! The water was crystal clear and calm safe for children. The villa was gorgeous with an infinity pool right on the back deck. We woke every morning to a postcard views. Perfect place to get away from the maddening crowd. Be warned the side roads are not maintained to traveling to this villa or the three Marys can be an adventure in avoiding pot holes. Plenty of room in the villa if you want to hire a chef to take along with you as we did. We hired Chefrick....Kenrick Penn. He was delightful and an excellent chef! Unfortunately we tried to snorkel here 4 different days but the visibility was too poor. It's a beautiful place. You shouldn't have any issues getting there on the road, despite what a few of these reviews say. We went down much worse roads in Provo in a tiny rental car. There are signs directing you how to get there. At the turn off right next to cottage pond we saw flocks of flamingos ranging from 15-40 all 4x we went over there. See more..

Had serious doubts about about Rudolph after reading a very critical review of of him here on TA . That said his clients caught many bonefish something like 14. The writer of the review was unhappy in the mainI believe because in his mind he and his son were not given the attention from Rudolph they deserved .. Tell you what some days you won't. catch a one and today neither of the two boats. that went out tcaught a one and that happens just bad day but not a bad time . In fact we had a great time with Rudolph who did his absolute best in difficult circumstances . Will fish with him again one more thing you would be well advised to book directly through the head guide Darrel as he is on the ground and can give you a real heads up about fishing conditions .His number on the island is 649- 244-2713 See more..

We stayed in Whitby on North Caicos and enjoyed relaxing on Pelican Beach everyday. There aren't many people there, rarely will you see someone else, so you have plenty of space to relax and enjoy the view. Rented from Al’s for our day on North/Middle Caicos. We elected to rent the 4 door Jeep since we were 2 adult couples, and wanted a little extra space. The woman who met us at the dock was super friendly and quickly took us to get our vehicle (it was not at the dock, but rather waiting for us up the street.) The vehicle itself was in so-so condition... but as you’ll read, most vehicles on North Caicos leave a lot to be desired. It served it purpose though and got us all the way around the 2 islands just fine. We had one small issue with the vehicle, and Tueton was nice enough to discount our rental for the inconvenience. Great customer service! If we return to North Caicos, I would rent from Al’s again. See more..

I do not feel embarrassed by my inability to find the Government Farm. We were fortunate that when we stopped to ask for directions the person we asked was able to call his cousin who was walking to work at the farm. We then gave this individual a ride to his work and he gave us a tour of the farm. The entrance to the farm was through a small, closed, unmarked gate. Close to the entrance was a pen with a small herd of goats. During the tour we saw various herbs, zucchini (the largest I have ever seen), tomato, papaya (sadly, for me, no mango), sugar cane, sweet pepper, hot pepper, and bok choy being grown. If you visit be prepared to deal with insects that are intent on making you a meal. See more..

There were indeed hundreds of flamingos in the pond (mid June). scanning the pond with binoculars it looked like flamingos as far as the eye could see. there were also herons, terns, gulls and some other birds. There is no shade over the viewing platform, so we did not stay long, but glad we stopped, and glad we had good binoculars. See more..
