   What an amazing experience! With only 4 of us we travelled with the Indians by canoe and feet to the miraculous Kasikasima. Four day's on a row we were taught by our Indian friends how to fish, spot monkey's, spiders and all more their is to see. You go back into the past. What an unique experience.    We visited Potihill as an excursion and it was lovely. The hike through the jungle has many interesting animals and insects and spiders. The views of the jungle from the hill are beautiful. Definitely worth it. Bring binoculars. See more..

   I went to a lot of places in Suriname, but this wast the most beautifull place I've ever seen. The Voltzdome (Voltzberg) is 240 meters high. It's an impressive view over the rainforrest and a supernice walk to it. We booked the tour on www.raleighvallen.com (Jenny Tours). The tour director is actually local from the Marroon-tribe the Kwinties, she (used to) lives in the nearby village Witagron. The tourguide is very warm and welcomes you to her family and locals. With a lot of passion she will tell you about the local traditions, flora and fauna, the raleighfalls and the Voltzdome. We really advise this tour to anyone that visits Suriname. And we loved the local catfish the Anjoemara, that Jenny coocked so nice to us. See more..
