   The Green Heritage Fund Sloth Sanctuary takes care of three types of animals - Sloths (Luiaards), Anteaters (Miereneters) and Armadillos (Gordeldieren). Do not expect a lot of live animals to be seen - most of them are roaming around the sanctuary. But we did see Sloth Bolletje who was friendly enough to wake up momentarily, and also a tree-type anteater who was particularly cute (but also a bit sleepy). Volunteers give a really good explanation of what the Sanctuary does, and also the professionals are visible doing their job. Sometimes the animals rescued are freed again into the wild at Apartments Bloemendaal. From here one can take a morning boat trip as well with Captain Harry who is quite capable to spot a lot of wildlife - we did actually see a sloth on our boat tour sitting in a tree quite well.
