Our family took a road trip up to Khasab port for a lovely scenic day cruise which included barbecue lunch and stops to Telegraph island and Seebee island to swim and snorkel. On the way, we saw dolphins swim up close to us which was so cute! Food was good and the boat was comfortable and clean with toilet for changing clothes and shower. There was some cold drinks and hot coffee provided which was good. The 2 men who operated the boat were very friendly and helpful to us as we prepared the snorkels and life vests for swimming. There were plenty of fish swimming near the surface to look at. Highly recommend Khasab Sands Tours. Their boat is big with upper deck which other companies might not have. Pro tips: Before the trip during booking, you can request for kayak for a little additional fee. bring portable speaker with music if you would like to enjoy it during the dhow cruise. See more..

We just came back from a fantastic tip to Musandam region in Oman. The trip was organised through Ahlam Musandam Tours and its manager Eldho Varghese. We were a group of 7 coming from different countries and the organisation of this trip was very difficult, but with the help of Eldho, we had the most comfortable and pleasant trip one could imagine. Eldho has arranged our airport pick up from Dubai airport, all the boat’s trips and local car rental. We had a day trip to Kumzar, a magical village every one must see and had a great lunch surrounded by clear sea where all the beautiful creatures were visible under the water. Delightful dinner with fresh fish barbeque seasoned with the best masala you can find recommended by Eldho at the local restaurant in khasab. I feel I am back from paradise. Today we went on a full day Dow trip to the magnificent Omani Fiords from Khasab. The views, snorkelling and information given to us were excellent. There were many dolphins swimming alongside the dow and jumping out of the water. We also saw small sharks in the clear shallows, rays, sea urchins and a very large sea snake. We were so lucky that there were not many passengers - only 6 of us! The Dow was huge and very comfortable being furnished with large rugs and beautiful traditional Omani cushions. Lunch and refreshments were provided and were both delicious and plentiful. The crew and guide took great care of us and made the day extremely enjoyable. Just had a fantastic dive with Ali. It was a great day from start to finish safari to the top of a mountain. boat trip to see black tip sharks, then the diving. Although visibility not great managed to see loads. Amazing coral, turtles, sting ray, lion fish morays, teeming with life. All of this with a very safe relaxed dive instructor. Followed by Pizza and fatayah and the boat back. Just great See more..

Great dive with Darren's team and Shihab, the instructor who does not feel the cold! ;-). Great respect under the sea (we took the time to stop and release a crab entangled in a fisherman's net). Two dives with the wife of my son, close to the Musandam fjords, with the great surprise of dolphins following the boat a while during our return. Strongly recommended, together with a 4 wheel drive in the mountains around Khasab up to the Jabel al Harim where one can also see fishes but in the stones (fossils). See more..

During our stay at Six Senses Ziggy Bay, the hidden jewel of Oman, which we can highly recommend for its beautiful paradise location and also the various activities available. We decided to book a morning snorkeling with Giulia & Andrea who run the diving experience at Ziggy Bay. We had a fantastic time, even though that day at first the water was fairly cloudy with only a short distance visibility, Giulia told us that this was due to the huge amount of plankton but after a while we got use to it and had the chance of seeing a large amount of tropical fishes, turtles and most exciting of all three eagle rays just gliding amongst us. Giulia & Andrea are very professional in the way they run this exciting activity, but most of all they where so friendly that it made this experience for us unforgettable. See more..

Can’t recommend these guys highly enough! We booked Dolphin Khasab Tours before we left the UK from a cruise Facebook forum. They picked us up from the cruise terminal where we paid cash (you can pay in AED, euro and dollars) they then dropped us 10 mins away to board our Dhow. The Dhow was large but not overcrowded and we lazed around on carpets and cushions. The waters were calm and the scenery, in my opinion, was stunning. The staff were amazing and patient in trying to get the dolphins to appear - between us and another Dhow we followed 5 dolphins, including a baby, dancing and playing between the dhows it was magical Throughout the cruise they supplied water, Arabic coffee and fruit, and when we anchored for around 40 mins they supplied snorkelling gear and towels. We booked a tour through this small town and one highlight was the castle. It’s a historic castle which is now build out as a museum. The museum ist not really big, so you could we need 45 minutes to walk thought and we really do not walk very fast, actually the opposite. But it’s build out with passion and well placed. From the 3 ships in the inner patio to the small exhibition in the central tower. It gives a good insight into the history of this place and who people lives there in ancient times. So been in the town and have a 1 hour to spent consider to visit this museum. See more..

We did the half day dhow cruise around the fjords in Mussandam yesterday and it was brilliant. The staff were incredibly helpful and there was plenty to eat and drink on board with tea, coffee, cold water bottles, soft drinks and a big selection of fresh fruits. Snorkeling equipment was provided, along with beach towels, and plenty of seating both in the sun and in the shade. It was good experience, from the point they pick up till they drop us back, the people were really accommodating. When we reached Oman, they tour leader told us the itinerary, what we going to do and encouraged us what to enjoy. Glad we went on weekdays, it was not crowded. Sometimes when you feel that a break is required from the daily challenging routine of our lives . Also when you don’t want to go any other country but with in UAE I can simply suggest to go for a long drive to khasab and overnight stay under the sky. Interesting well yes really . We started from Dubai to Khasab by road and as soon as we crossed the city we felt we are in the other part of world. The scenic mountains kept us indulge. The most mesmerizing part is the drive along the sea, I was surprised to see the beautiful scenery stretched in kilometers. Spend overnight under the sky in tent and listening the relaxing sea tides. You must not miss early sunrise, it’s one of the best moments of the trip. Finally after enjoying dhow cruise we left for Dubai. We took a half day tour from Dhow Khasab Tours and had a lovely day. The boat was comfortable with the option of sunny or shaded areas and it wasn't too crowded. The scenery was well worth the visit and the dolphin watching was world class with plenty of good sightings. I wasn't expecting the snorkelling to be as good as it was but there were tons of interesting fish to see. I'd also like to thank the staff for helping my elderly father so kindly. My only two criticisms are that I could see no indication that the snorkelling equipment was disinfected or washed between guests and I am worried about the number of anchors being dropped on the reef areas for snorkelling. I understand that in developing tourist areas you can't expect regulatory processes to be perfect, but I would like to see some evidence of environmental protection policies being agreed and implemented in order to protect the fish and the dolphins in the long term. We enjoyed our half-day trip in the fijords of Khasab. The scenery is fantastic. The tour operators included fruit and non-alcoholic beverages. We saw lots of dolphins and the boat's captain would explain some of the surrounding areas to us. We were on a cruise and found this tour that was considerably cheaper than the one offered by the cruise line. We were met at the dock and there were no issues getting to the tour. We are just back from an amazing weekend with the Sheesa Beach guys. 2 Dhows, 34 people and the best experience ever! The whole crew were so welcoming and attentive, but special mention must be made to the phenomenal Dive Masters, Noel and Ken. Infinitely patient, very experienced and took us to some amazing dive sites. We went to Nomad for about a week with my boyfriend and father and had a lovely time! Lauren was very helpful at organizing everything (including our last minute extended stay because it was so hard to leave!). My boyfriend finished his Open Water Course there and was super pleased with both the course and Cederic, his instructor, and everyone else (Arno, AB, Brad) were very entertaining and knowledgeable (as well as top divers - we always felt safe under their instruction). The food was always tasty (and always a surprise) and we got to see turtles so it doesn't get much better than that- the diving was fantastic. I normally follow the bf in his diving trips as a boat passenger, I'm usually offered snorkel gear and I have always turned it down, not keen on entering the water, putting a mask on my face etc etc. This time something was different, and I think it's down to the diving team being one of the most cohesive I've ever come across. They would work as a perfectly coordinated group, giving all the information, not overlapping and especially being absolutely clear about what was coming and how to approach it, even for the snorkelling! I really couldn't avoid putting my shortie on and jumping off the boat! I've never snorkelled before, so I'm not sure if what I saw was above other regions, but I really enjoyed all the fish and the different types of coral. Went with a bunch of friends (10 of us) and these guys had everything sorted 2 a T! This trip in particular was a collaboration with a luxury dhow operator (Musandam Sea Adventure Travel & Tourism) and the combination worked well. Lovely night dive (The Aquarium) on a Thursday followed by 3 spectacular dives (Jack Fish Corner, Cats Eye Wall & Beachams Arch). The dive crew were very familiar with the dive sites, super friendly and helpful....overall a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend and will for sure visit again. During our stay in Dubai, we had a great day out with Khasab Beach Tours. Contact per whatsapp was very efficient. Their driver picked us up very early (mornings are better for dolphin watching and it is at least 3hrs drive plus from Dubai Marina plus waiting time at the border). The boat was a beautiful dhow full of tapestry and cushions. The crew of two was very friendly! We had plenty of fruit, soft drinks, water and a great lunch with chicken, fish etc. We spotted dolphins, went snorkelling and swimming twice and enjoyed magnificent views over the rocky coast line. My son booked 2 dives at Nomad Ocean Adventures and we were impressed by the professional handling from the very friendly staff at this hidden gem. Everything went smoothly: The pickup at the Omani border, free coffee, water, juices and even breakfast at the centre. We stopped here on our cruise and I booked this tour before we came. It was cheaper than the excursion offered by the cruise ship and it was a private tour, not a convoy of 20 plus jeeps. We were picked up at the port gates and had a private 4x4 jeep ride into the amazing mountains in Khasab, Oman. The roads were narrow, windy and bumpy high up into the mountains to Jebel Harim or Mountain of Women. The highest peak was 2087 meters and we had views of the Hajar Mountains. We had many stops to look at the views and amazing homes made of rocks in the mountains. We stopped to see fossils of sea creatures in the rocks high up in the mountains and rock drawings too. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. The views were amazing and the roads were fun. At the end we had a drive around the town of Khasab before being dropped off at the port. Departure at 10am to the tour in a beautiful dhow. The dhow is clean, the captain friendly and the view wonderful. We cross dauphins, hammers etc. The dhow stop two time for swimming. Only one problem, but nobody is responsable, there are a lot of jellyfish. They have to do something but it is not easy. A perfect trip. You can do it. You will never forget. See more..
