Spectacular views

Just a little travel outside of khasab accessible by 4x4 or take a safari from a tour company is Khawr Najd. An ideal place to take an elevated view over the Oman/ Arabian fjords. With its long twisting track taking you down to a beach where people fish and camp. Spectacular views. Don’t forget to visit the small goat herders house near the bottom of the road leading upto the viewpoint.

    Khawr Najd (Khor Najd) - A beautiful lagoon made by nature
    Khawr Najd is a natural creek close to Khasab City in Musandam Oman. You need a 4WD to visit this place by road. It takes around 10 minutes on road drive to reach the base of mountain behind which this Khawr is situated. 5-7 minutes steep uphill drive on an unpaved road takes you on the top spot (420 meters high) from where a 10-15 minutes down hill drive (again unpaved road) takes you to the Khawr. Its an excellent spot for overnight camping and in the colder months there are lots of campers around. The scenery from top of mountain is breath-taking beautiful.

    Lovely vistas
    A trip to khasab is never complete without a trip up to the lookout point. Especially at sunset or sunrise. While the path is doable in a saloon, a raised vehicle is better. Plz give this review a thumbs up
