   I’m a bit scared of heights so I was nervous about paragliding. The mezcal hangover didn’t help my nerves either haha. However, the Local Adventures team made me feel comfortable and explained thoroughly the safety precautions and what to expect. Take off was scary, you run straight off the edge of a mountain. Once you are soaring through the air it becomes very peaceful. Would highly recommend this activity and the Local Adventures guides to anyone looking for an adrenaline rush in the Guadalajara area.    We really enjoyed these unbelievable rock formations only 5 km from the heart of Tapalpa. These rocks are up to about 100 ft in height. Some daredevils can actually climb these and there is a swinging bridge from one frock to another. Looks like on weekends they might have zip lining from one set of rocks to another.    This waterfall is a little out of the way and you have to ask around to get to it because you have to go through back country dirt roads to get to the "parking" area- or the dead end to the dirt road- once there there are usually a lot of cars so it seems safe to park there and walk to the waterfall. On this hike be prepared with comfy shoes! It is about an hour walk down hill to get to the waterfall that is well worth it! It is a 105 meter waterfall- the tallest in the state- equivalent to 344 feet- this is an amazing thing to witness- plus the spray from the waterfall feels wonderful after the exhausting walk to get to it. The hardest part was the walk up- TAKE WATER!- if the downhill walk was hard, the uphill walk is even harder and every exhausting- your legs kinda tremble on the way up- but it is all very worth it See more..

   The visit to this church it is a MUST! It is located right in the downtown, main square to be specific. Pictures from outside or inside are amazing. It took more than 20 years to be built and the entire town cooperated with money and efforts to raise money. It is made with bricks and that makes it so special. Mostly all the churches around the world are pretty similar as concept so this one has a unique architecture to admire. See more..

   Por años está pila fue bebedero para animales de carga que llevaban reductos medicinales y otros productos camino a Sayula, después del trabajo se reunían a tomar pulque en la cantina de Doña Mica, en una ocasión Don Bartolo acusó a Don Fulgencio de haberle Robado una mula y ya tomados Don Fulgencio agarro a Bartolo hasta matarlo y se cuenta que desde ese día el agua se pintó de rojo.
   
   Esta es la leyenda que leímos frente a esta pila muy bien cuidada y de agua roja.
   
   Un paseo muy agradable, claro que lo recomiendo, son cuatro pilas así que busquen las otras tres y diviértase leyendo las historias y tomándose fotografías.

    Motos Tapalpa me parecen una opción excelente para divertirse en Tapalpa. Puedes rentar cuatrimotos para una o dos personas con el plus de que los recorridos los haces por ti mismo. También puedes pedir que te organicen un tour guiado, con la posibilidad de conocer lugares que no podrías conocer si no vas con un guía.
