Amazing diving with Dive Passion and dive master Yannick. His colleague Michel was also top notch. I booked a 6 dive package as an experienced diver and Yannick/Michel’s attention to detail was superb. Weather conditions were challenging with strong (Force 7) ESE winds for most of the week but despite this we found some excellent coral/reef and wreck diving only a stone throw from the Belle Mare beach. Highlight was the wreck (large fishing vessel in 30m) and also listening to the nearby Humpback whales. Will most definitely be back. Thanks Yannick. See more..

Look, I went in what is Mauritius winter which I wouldn’t advise, I went late June where the Weather was a little choppy and the waves were rather large. However Chris the main man specially catered to our needs and the value for money is incredible. This trip was sold to me from three different parties each at a higher price. However, Chris’s patty was far better than any other. We saw dolphins and turtles, the lunch was also fantastic! Second time on one of Vicky's boats (December 2018 previously), with Robin (driver) and Lloyd (crew). Wonderful day (09:30 - 16:00) visiting some of the regular stops (Iles aux Cerf) as well as the abandoned prison and disused lighthouse. Superb barbeque lunch, extremely well cooked. It is not the cheapest excursion, but in our opinion, worth every cent. Vicky is genuine and makes the satisfaction of his guests the paramount importance, after safety. The boats are all very well maintained and very well handled as the drivers clearly enjoy showcasing their skills as well as the performance of the boats. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Mauritius and worth a taxi ride if not staying close to Melle Mare Plage. See more..

We did a full day boat trip and it was hands down the best experience we had during our stay in Mauritius. The guys are really kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. They‘re so passionate about their home and it shows when they talk about Mauritian history, nature, the animals etc. We loved being able to feed the monkeys and the highlight of the trip was definitely wild dolphins playing in the waves of the boat. My fiancee - an avid (yet not always successful) fisherman - made a booking for a full day of fishing onboard the Royal II. We truly could not have been happier with how the day went- catching tuna, wahoo, dorado and more! Sadly, we didn't see any marlin this time, but we have a great excuse for coming back! Fresh mahi mahi was barbecued for us at the end of our trip - the fish, marinade, preparation and of course beautiful surroundings made it our BEST meal on our trip. We wholeheartedly recommend Royal Big Game Fishing, not only because of our success on this fishing trip, but because Captain Edley and his team there care about your experience; they are knowledgeable, they put the effort into increasing your chances of making a catch, and overall are simply good, friendly and fun people. Just been on this trip today and it has been the best day! So easily organised through Vijay from the comfort of our sunbeds on the beach. Pick up on time, courteous and friendly driver. The skipper Andy was brilliant. He went out of his way to explain everything and make sure we got to feed the monkeys and spend enough time to get excellent photos at the waterfall. Have a car and do your own tour!!!! We found these by chance, and they have a few little cars for hire at great prices. We hired a car for 4 days on our visit to Mauritius, and after sending an email ([email protected]) Aki , the owner replied really quickly with the prices for us. He also confirmed he had manual Cars and not all automatics so that was a big bonus. I dont like autos as they can be expensive on fuel. The car was delivered the night before and Aki said just call him when we were finished. He also arranged a local sim deal so we could use Google as a sat nav in the car. My fiancé and I did the 5 island tour on his 30th birthday and it was wonderful! The speedboat picked us up on time, very comfortable and modern, and the team were fantastic. We stopped for snorkelling with all the kit provided for us, as well as lot of rum (soft drinks also available)! Lunch provided was amazing and the setting was dreamy. I would like to express my experience with Bateau Vicki. We booked a boat to visit several islands in the west which included ile aux Phare, Ile aux aigrette cascades etc.. refreshment and lunch with drinks on Ile aux Margenie. The price was 2000rs and we booked 2 private speedboat for 25Pax. The trip started well, we started with our own drinks and sandwiches as we knew refreshments on the boat will be limited. As expected we were not offered any drink or food on the boat but didn’t want to make the elders uncomfortable so we managed with our own drinks. However when we stopped for lunch we were more than surprised be served with only a small piece of chicken, either thigh or leg, 2 sausages and 2 pieces of garlic bread. Then came a platter with some grilled fish that we had to share between ourselves. There was hardly enough pieces to share among ourselves. Since few of us do not eat dish and asked for a second piece of chicken or bread we were denied as they say they serve only one piece. We had to call the Bateau Vicki to get few more chicken pieces for the childrens. It was surprising for the drinks as well. We were given 3 bottles of beer 1 wine , half rhum bottle and 2 bottle of coke for 25 Pax. Anything extra like chilli sauce had to be asked and been given in very small portions. So as for us not to ask for more food and drinks they came to collect the plates 40 mins after being served. it was a very embarrassing moments as it was a family trip with elder persons and childrens.
