  3. 5.0 Khondi Spa Retreat (2 reviews)
    - A fantastic treat for holiday or business trip
    Friday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spas
    Khondi Spa Retreat image
Khondi's Spa is basically a massage salon that also offers other beauty services like nail art. It is located in the same building as the Orchid Restaurant and it is actually a great idea to combine the two. Khondi offers several types of massages from 20 min to one hour, including reflexology, hot stone massage and face massage. I have visited Khondi's Spa three times for a 60 min massage each and those were the best massages ever. Khondi has an excellent training and really knows what she is doing. She is using a good massage bench which allows your neck to rest when lying on your stomach. The place is quiet and restful. The prices are really moderate and Khondi is a very nice person. If you like massages you really want to check out this place. I booked my massages in advance but you can also try and drop in. Opening hours seem to vary a bit, so it is probably a good idea to call before you go there. See more..

    - This rock art rocks! - And the Dedza Mountain hike is beautiful (Guide: Samuel)
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Chongoni Rock Art Area image
These rock art panels, which are most commonly found in caves/overhangs, are really impressive, with many different sites and different styles from two distinct eras. We were guided by Samuel (Whatsapp +265995946889), who is a local Malawian who is incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable and gifted at sharing the most relevant information. His prices are also more than fair. Samuel took us to several different rock art areas. We just trusted his judgement, and he guided us to some really great panels, interpreted them for us, and took us on very scenic hikes with great views in all directions. We were so impressed with the area and Samuel as a guide that we booked another day with him to climb Dedza Mountain. He again guided us brilliantly. He is from the Dedza area, so knows all the details and topography. The rock art and climb very nice adventures, and I think underrated as well, not to mention economical. And if you go, go with Samuel for an enhanced experience! See more..

The Botanical Gardens are the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. You could take a picnic, read, spend some time with your friends or partner, go for a walk, and some people use the gardens to pray or meditate. There is plenty of space and it wasn't busy. I went in May - therefore not all of the plants were planted out, but it was great to see some huge cacti, ferns and many I could not name! Entrance is just 50KW. There's no cafe anywhere nearby, so take your own food and drink! The War Memorial is nearby, so you could call by that too. See more..

The absence of dangerous game makes the park accessible on foot or by bicycle, which gives you a unique and up-close experience with the bush. Besides sharing the beauty of nature, Kuti Wildlife Reserve is important for the local communities. We raise awareness about ecology and support community projects. By changing local perceptions of wildlife, we hope to preserve wildlife for future generations. Visit Kuti and experience the unique tranquillity of the African bush! See more..
