   Vadoz's main square is dotted with sculptures. This is probably my favourite. It's an old man, perched in an armchair at the top of a stand with long legs. It's called 'Hochsitz' which means 'The Hunter's Stand'. Why? Apparently Robert Indernaur, who sculpted it, likes addressing philosophical questions about how we see things in his work. A real hunter sees his potential prey from his stand above it. He decides what is worth hunting. But this isn't a hunter - it's an old man, presumably in his living toom watching TV.     Visible from far and wide yet so close you could almost touch it, the emblem of Liechtenstein towers over Vaduz on a rock terrace which can be reached along a romantic footpath. The castle was first built some 700 years ago. Since 1712 it has been in the possession of the Prince of Liechtenstein. Furthermore, since 1938 it has been the residence of the prince’s family, so it is not open to the public.
