We had a perfect day of water, sunshine, dolphins, drink and food. Our family group spanned ages from 6 months to 69 years. There are opportunities to walk along a beautiful beach, swim and/or play in the sand. The freshly prepared food in such a beautiful setting was unexpected and amazing. Of special note is the special attention Captain Joseph paid to his guests. He assured we had ample time to visit the dolphins and when our 4 year old lost her hat to the wind, he took his time and circled back so we could recover. Captain Joseph's family participated in making us feel welcome and even watched our 6 month old while we enjoyed a perfect lunch. See more..

Treasure Tours was very helpful in helping to book our guesthouse, transportation to and from the airport and to a last minute trip to YS Falls. They were quick to respond and drivers arrived a few minutes early each pickup. They were skilled drivers that clearly knew the crazy unmarked roads and were happy to stop for pics or snacks for our group. The 5 of us went on the Black River tour with captain Clive. We started in Treasure Beach and then went up the Black River. Discovered the mangroves, crocodiles, many different birds, water lilies, made a stop to have some crab for lunch and then head out into the ocean again to stop over at Pelican Bar for a drink. This is one of the most famous bars worldwide and worth a visit. The whole tour took close to 5 hours but what you want to do is up to you. We got as good price beacuse we were 5 people and booked the whole tour for ourselves. We can highly recommend it at is is fun and educational. See more..

My wife, son, and I booked a one day trip with Wolde and his team. What had an outstanding experience!!! My wife and son and not birdwatchers, I'm hard core. Wolde made all of us feel comfortable and had a great time. We did a one day trip from Negril to Bluefields and back and racked up every possible endemic for this area, RAJ has the tour route down to an art. The lunch of award-winning jerk chicken was a nice bonus. Wolde does a huge amount of conservation work in the country and should be highly commended for that work as well. Historic Sites

Accompong is a rustic Maroon village and is located in the absolutely gorgeous Cockpit Mountains. Maroons are the descendants of escaped slaves who fought the British and won their independence in 1738, and Accompong is still an autonomous polity within Jamaica today. There is a small museum there that is a must-see for anyone interested in African heritage. Even if you're not looking at Afro-Carribean connections, you should go to Accompong for the atmosphere (combine it with a trip to Appleton Estates and you will have the best day of your entire trip!), the culture, the beautiful scenery, etc. It makes a great day trip from Treasure Beach or Montego Bay. It is also possible to book a room in a guest house if you want to stay overnight. From Montego Bay, book an excursion (it cost us $200 for 2 people) with Kenneth Watson [--], who is very knowledgeable about history and culture and will give you a real tour, as opposed to a taxi ride (Kenneth can also be booked for airport transfer, or arranging just about anything you need in Montego Bay and he is reliable and friendly). While you're in Accompong, I recommend getting a meal at A Home Away From Home, run by the wise and friendly Junior (JR). If you can go on January 6, during the independence day festival, you will see an amazing festival during the day followed by an all-night dancehall party. The partying begins on the 4th, actually, but don't go up on the 7th because everyone will be asleep until the afternoon! See more..
