    - Exquisite beach
    Beaches
    Anse Canot image
Went to the beach based on Trip Advisor reviews. It did not disappoint. It's located on a little turn off from the main road. We hit it on a relatively quiet day. Just a few couples and families spread across the beautiful expanse of sand surrounded by rocks and bluffs on either end. The ocean was sublime - clear, turquoise, comfortable temperature. It was hard to come ashore! One of the most beautiful beaches we've seen. See more..

I liked this huge beach. It is long and it is white. We could see an island as well. The beach was light brown and the ocean was light blue. Behind the beach were trees. I even saw a beautiful flower. By the way, I have not seen any mosquitoes! Worthwhile to enjoy! By the way See more..
  15. 4.5 Les Delices de Siblet (25 reviews)
    - A fascinating look at how Marie-Galante sugar cane is turned in to a delicious syrup
    Factory Outlets
    Les Delices de Siblet image
Visitors to Marie-Galante can't help being impressed by the fields of sugar cane which cover the island and are the main agricultural product. The harvested sugar cane can be turned in to three main commercial products: rum, sugar and syrup used as a sweetener or topping. The syrup produced by Les Délices de Siblet is unique and said to be the very best produced on the island. While the "official" address of the factory is in Grand Bourg it is actually only about five kilometers south of the town of St Louis on the right hand side of highway N9 as you are driving towards Grand Bourg, immediately after the sign marked "Section Siblet." The low ranch house in front of the factory serves as the home of the family of Patrick Maurin. Pull in to the parking lot and walk over to the factory where, providing there are not too many other visitors, one of the members of the family will explain to you in French how the cane is harvested from the fields in back, processed and bottled to become the "Sirop de Batterie." The finished product is available for purchase in either a one liter (€7) or half liter (€4) bottle which they will package for you. I have used it to sweeten my yogurt, on top of ice cream and to make tropical drinks. When you're finished here drive another five kilometers south and follow the signs to the Distillerie Poisson and see how sugar cane is turned in to rum See more..
  16. 4.5 Plage du Vieux Fort (21 reviews)
    - Sublime beach perfection
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
    Plage du Vieux Fort image
A gorgeous white sand beach, brilliant turquoise blue water, and calm waves to play around in - this beach is idyllic. There are large shelters scattered along the tree line, with picnic table, offering a shady spot to relax for a bite to eat. Parking is on the other side of the road, next to the entrance of the mangroves hiking trail. There are no services on this beach, however, so come prepared with water, food, and a big towel for changing under. Otherwise, this is perfection - complete with views of a deserted island! See more..

    Distillerie Bellevue image
Generally located in the center of Marie-Galante island, the Bellevue Distillery is worth a short visit. After a short drive in the country side, you will find the old and new mill, a old restored wind mill and a very nice store with various products and gifts and friendly staff. There is free rum tasting and all their rums and products are available for purchase. The rums themselves and rum products are quite good and worth a try. See more..
  25. 4.0 Distillerie Bielle (172 reviews)
    - The best rum and distillery on Marie-Galante
    Distilleries
    Distillerie Bielle image
We visited all 3 rum distilleries in MG and this is our favorite rum and distillery. Bielle is a high quality rum and they produce a variety of white rum (50% and 59%), amber rum and old rum (rhum vieux). Possibly the best rum in Guadeloupe and maybe even the Caribbean. See more..
  26. 4.0 Feuillere Beach (153 reviews)
    - Beautiful beach on Marie-Galante
    Beaches
    Feuillere Beach image
The beach is located just west of Capesterre on Marie-Galante. We would consider it the best beach on the island. It is about one kilometer long with lots of coconut trees and is part of a lagoon protected by a coral reef. Beautiful sand and nice water. There is also 3 restaurants on the beach that are quite good. See more..

  29. 4.0 Habitation Roussel - Trianon (38 reviews)
    - Quiet site, great for exploration!
Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Habitation Roussel - Trianon image
Always a great place for exploration and self-guided learning. Information panels relating to the slave trade and route here on Marie-Galante greet you at the entrance to the site. We came just before sunset, and shared the entire location with only 4 other people, watching the golden rays of sunlight washing over the ruins of the old sugar refinery. Mind the signs indicating no entry - these are for everyone's safety, as the overgrowth inside the refinery may be hiding underground holes, or rusted-out tanks, and you DON'T want to fall into one of them. There is no gate to close off the entrance, so no real opening hours, though I wouldn't recommend visiting past sunset. There are also no services here, no washrooms or shops, but there is no fee for entry, either. Just enjoy the free exploration! See more..
  30. 4.0 Plage de la Férrière (26 reviews)
    - A lovely beach with lots of palm trees
    Beaches
    Plage de la Férrière image
I like this beach with palm trees. There were cages for crabs. Many enjoyed swimming as well. Swimming was also good for others. There was shade from the palm trees. Worthwhile to experience! See more..
