Mountains
This view cannot be beat. If you stay at Moorea this is a must see. You are able to really appreciate both of the bays of the island and see why the mountain is called magic mountain. The hike was not too difficult and there is a great juice place at the bottom that I would highly recommend. See more..

The very experienced and knowledgeable, boat operator and tour guide, did an exceptional job of showing all his guest a great day on this beautiful laid-back island. The snorkeling in three different areas, exceeded my expectations. Beautiful, large, healthy coral heads were teaming with colorful tropical fish probably over 50 different species of fish and 20 species of coral. Delicious buffet lunch on a private Motu was another highlight of the tour. The crew of three worked very hard to ensure a great day for all their guests. I highly recommend this to tour. See more..

- 5.0 Deep Sea Pearls (228 reviews)
-THE BEST PLACE to shop for black pearls on Bora Bora!
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
There are sooo many black pearl shops on Bora Bora, it’s hard not to feel a bit overwhelmed. I walked into several but it wasn’t until I entered Deep Sea Pearls that I knew I was in the right place to find a perfect keepsake. Their jewelry Items were beautifully displayed in well-lit glass cases and the young lady who helped me was delightful as I asked to look at various items. When I found my fave, I asked if it might be possible to get a discount—Sasha, the store’s buyer, was able to work with me to reach a perfect accord. His perfect English was a great help as well! Highly recommend you head straight to Deep Sea Pearls as soon as you arrive in Vaitape! See more..
- 5.0 Tereia Beach (222 reviews)
-The REAL paradise
Beaches
Do you dream to visit Bora-Bora once in your lifetime? If you are looking for the REAL French Polynesia, away from luxury resorts, but in touch with untamed nature, if you often think how would Bora-Bora look like without all those hotels and bungalows, then you have to see Maupiti. The island itself, the lagoon, the motus and the people: everything seems to be years ahead before the "white man" arrived. We had a wonderful stay at a private home and paid a ridiculous price for a local guide that brought us every day to a different spot on his little boat. We will never forget the night we returned to the main island after a dinner on a restaurant on a motu: we alone on the lagoon under the full moon and silver shaded water. Our trip French Polynesia lasted three weeks, but the three and a half days on Maupiti will always have a special place in our heart. See more..

We loved the drift snorkeling and swimming with the sharks and sting rays. We also stopped at a pearl farm, rum distillery, and vanilla plantation, and stopped for a delicious lunch. - 4.5 Bora Bora Lagoonarium (1.166 reviews)
-An unforgettable day
Saturday: Aquariums
What an absolutely amazing experience! We took our 3 children aged 7, 7 and 11 on the trip today and everyone had a blast. The trip is organized by a large family of cousins, uncles, aunts and even a grand dad. We sailed around the island of Bora Bora with many stops along the way. We swam in the coral garden with hundreds and hundreds of different fish, saw stonefish and moray eels. We came upon a group of 30 or 40 eagle rays and got to swim on top of them watching. Next stop was to swim with the magnificent manta ray, which was an experience we will not forget. On to swimming with black tip reef sharks and stingrays. We then sailed around the island and stopped at the family’s lagoonarium on a motu. Here we were treated to an amazing lunch with lots of local dishes. It was the best food we had on our entire 2 week trip to French Polynesia. We also got to swim with the lemon sharks in the lagoonarium. Throughout the day the family entertained on ukuleles and drums, showed is how to dance Polynesian style, how to open a coconut and make coconut milk. It was a perfect day and we enjoyed every minute of it. The family hosting us was incredibly kind and helpful. See more..
- 4.5 Temae Beach (473 reviews)
-Paradise
Beaches
Unbelievable. Sunsets were to die for, the people were so kind. It was a paradise however the government needs to step up and take control of the stray dog problem. There were injured and starving dogs everywhere, it was really hard to see. I never felt afraid of the dogs but with as much money that is going into tourism a simple spay and neutered program needs to be implemented along with animal control. Im a little amazed they have let it get this bad. See more..
- 4.5 Moorea Tropical Garden (453 reviews)
-Stunning view, great hospitality, delicious sorbet
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Gardens
We had a few hours of sunshine before the rain rolled in and so glad we spent it here. We decided to park our rental car at the bottom and walk up per other user reviews and glad we did - the road is rough and steep. By the time we got to the garden, we were quite warm, and were warmly greeted by an older woman who we presumed was the owner. She provided us with samples of her homemade jellies/jams from fruit on her property. We opted for a few scoops of sorbet which were amazing, accompanied by a fantastic view. The property itself is nothing glamorous, but very fun to see vanilla beans and other fruits growing. We also tried to find cascade waterfall and while there were some signs, the foliage is dense and we threw in the towel before we got lost. Did enjoy meandering along the creek. The experience is free, so there is nothing to lose! Definitely not an all day activity but very pleasant to walk around, relax, and take in some sights different from the beach for an hour or two. - 4.5 L' Excursion Bleue Day Tours (447 reviews)
-A pleasant Day with Ragi and Jeremy.
Sightseeing Tours
This was the only highlight of the Raiatea part of our society island trip we enjoyed. Jeremy goes in the water during the snorkeling and ensures that all have a safe and enjoyable experience. Ragi is a good captain. The atmosphere is relaxed and upbeat. the lunch on the motu is basic. We visited a few good snorkeling spots a pearl farm, vanilla plantation and rum factory. was ok and according to programm, as we didnt do that before. It is a busy program, but no stress. . Fruitjuice and a bit of punch was provided. The beers seemed to be for the crew, my wife had to insist to get one too..... all in all a very pleasant day See more..

- 4.5 Vallee de la Vanille (256 reviews)
-History Lesson + Gift Shop
Spent < 1 hour Farms
There is a concrete pier nearby where you can dock your dinghy (though it's a bit of a haul if you anchor at the motu across from Fa'a'aha Bay). Plan to spend about an hour so you can hear the sorted history of vanilla farming on Taha'a. Our guide was very informative (history, politics, farming) and showed us all the steps of the drying and packaging process. We all bought the majority of our souvenir vanilla here since the prices were reasonable: coffee, powder, sauce, tea, beans, and the other generic items are available. See more..
- 4.5 Poetaina Day Tours (220 reviews)
-Absolutely amazing, don't miss it!!
Sightseeing Tours
WOW!!! I usually skip the tourist trips, but I am so glad I took a chance with this one! It was SOOOOO much fun! The crew is phenomenal! They really know the island, the culture, and they are eager to share the beauty of their knowhow with visitors. Everyone involved in the tours went out of their way to make their guests comfortable and ensure a great time! They went above and beyond and reflected the true nature of Polynesian hospitality. The day was jam packed with adventure, music, food and laughter. It was the highlight of my trip to Huahine and it should not be missed! Be sure to book a tour while you are there, you won't regret it! Thank you so much for a wonderful day! Wendy See more..
- 4.5 Te Mara Nui Plongee (206 reviews)
-Perfect dives
Saturday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Scuba & Snorkelling • Boat Rentals • Private Tours
Myself and my husband enjoyed two days of diving with Floriana. The experience was highly positive, she arranged diving in the best spots of the area, having the chance to see from small critters to big fish. Everything has been done with high professional care (she checked throughout the whole dive that everything was OK) and we also appreciated little attentions between dives as tea and biscuits/cake. Highly recommended ! See more..
