   My wife and I tried to do the Mt. Duff hike. It was a beautiful day. I am sure the view from the top would have been spectacular. We were able to make it just past the split for the two peaks, about a 30 minute hike. Unable to continue as we had only trail shoes. The hike is steep, muddy and slippery. Hiking boots would have been necessary to go further, which is why I gave only average rating. Wish I could give an "incomplete." We did do the Piiti hike to the small lookout. About a ten minute hike. Nice views of both sides of Mangareva and surrounding islands. See more..
