I had the pleasure of going on a three-day hiking adventure with Rushing Water Adventures over the New Years holiday, including the Abourma petroglyphs, Foret du Day, Bankouale, and Dogum. The company's owner was very communicative in working with me to set up a personalized itinerary based on my interests and timeline. Also the guides and driver were very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, as were the hosts at the Foret du Day and Bankouale camps where we spent one night each. The hiking was spectacular, with an amazing variety of scenery from petroglyphs and mountains to traditional Afar villages, riverbeds, mango groves, and many other fascinating landscapes and plants. As a Master Diver, I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and warm nature of this dive shop. Not only were they competent in all aspects of diving, but it felt like you were with close friends on holiday. Djibouti can be a challenging place, but Dolphin Excursions made it worth it. After diving with Dolphin for two years, whether you are an experienced diver or new to diving, this company is for you and I highly recommend them. They have many different courses and specialties available. This also includes try dives, which is for those that want to see if diving is for them before they spend time and money on their open water course. The tour of Djibouti was a fantastic experience for me unlike any other country I have been to. I would highly recommend working with Mohamed and his team at Trip2Djib for any tour in this part of Africa. As well as the stunning sights I was amazed by the friendly people and safe streets in Djibouti, Ethiopia and Somaliland, not something you would expect with all the negative reporting about this part of the world. My original travel plans were thrown by issues getting an on-line Ethiopia visa and had to change some flights, however while in Djibouti Mohammed took me to the Ethiopian Embassy to get a visa which was quite painless. In these times of COVID-19 there are many tests and extra pieces of paper work to get, Mohamed helped iron out these issues to make the whole trip smoother. Salida a las 08.00, lancha rapida a la isla moucha y despues de un buen cafe que nos invitaron y descansar en la playa que tienen habia posibilidad de snorkel o buceo. Incluian una comida con cafe muy rica. Si no hacias nada 40dolares, con snorkel 46 y con buceo 60.
Como tenia prisa por volver me pusieron bote privado y no me cobraron de mas y me organizaron taxi al hotel.

Aller à Djibouti n'est peut être pas un choix très commun, mais il se trouve que pour des raisons familiales je m'y suis rendue et j'ai pu admirer des endroits fabuleux comme le lac assal, l'ile de moucha ou l'ide de maskali. Certes, la misère qui règne à Djibouti est un drame et pourtant à côté de cette misère vous avez la possibilité de prendre un petit déjeuner au Kepinski dans un cadre très agréable et cosmopolite.
