   Guangsheng Temple is a magnificent Buddhist temple built in south-central Shanxi Province in the year 147. The highlight of the temple is the spectacular Feihong Pagoda, the largest and best preserved glazed pagoda in China. Octagonal in shape and nearly 500 years od, this 13-storey pagoda really glimmers on sunny days. This temple has many other fantastic elements and could be a UNESCO World Heritage Site one day.    初到山西就来到了这个小县城，早有耳闻有苏三这么个人便开车来到了苏三监狱
   地方不算大，进去之后就有阴森感看着那口小井上布满了绳子的勒痕便会想到当时的犯人每天都要在这挑水，比较出名的就是八丈墙，顾名思义就是墙高八尺不同的是里面灌注了流沙防止死囚越狱，总体来说此景点还算可以。 See more..

   The objective for coming to this place for some chinese is to search for their ancestral roots. During the early Ming Dynasty, many people died as a result of war and natural disasters. However, Shanxi province was still heavily populated. Ministers proposed to the emperor (Zhu Yuanzhang) to forcibly transfer part of the population from Shanxi to the outlying provinces. The place "Da Huai Shu" (Locust Tree or Pagoda Tree) was the place where the registration was carried out and the people dispatched from here. There was a legend that people who do not wish to be sent off must come here to be registered. But when they arrived here they are arrested and tied up to be sent off. The toilets here are called "Jie Fang Shi" (Untie Room) because during that time, they were all tied up to prevent them from escaping. Families were split up in the process and sent to different places. It was a tragic and draconian policy.
