Our country organizer Hilary took great care of us with transportation, hotels, retrieving lost luggage on the airlines. Very caring. Our mountain guide Smith was amazing and cared for our team during the 3-day trek. He ensured our team was safe, well fed and educated about the mountain. Out Cook Nelson worked hard to provide great meals on the mountain. Just it back from the summit hike of Mt Cameroon. It was such a great adventure. Even when it started to drizzle we pushed on and made it to the summit! My legs are still sore from the climb. It's definitely a challenge and well worth the time. I wish I took the longer tour to see elephants! I was well taken care of by Buma Peter and his team of capable and very friendly guys. We went with Thompy to Mount Cameroon, visited Wovia Island, Muanengouba twin crater lakes, and he showed us the local life in Buea and Limbe. Thompy is a very easy going guy which makes the trips a lot of fun. He also has a lot of knowledge about the places he took us and is flexible and creative to make great customised trips. We were a group of 4 German guys and did the 3 day tour to the summit and at the backside down. It was all perfect organized and the guide and the porters were excellent. The organization is initiated by Pro Climate and "Brot für die Welt". So they take care of the environment and protect the mountain. I highly recommend to go with Mount Cameroon Trekking because of the perfect package and the organization behind it. We slept in new and comfortable huts with electricity. Food and water was provided by the porters. We had one porter per person and one guide. They also offer a shuttle from Douala Airport to Buea. We had no safety problems because of the political situation or some people, it was one of the safest attraction what we did in Cameroon. See more..

There is a sign on the road indicating the falls; once there you have to park the car on the road rest area and walk to reach the entrance. The Metche Falls are considered as a place of sacrifice to remove the curse and lament the dead according to local beliefs. On the ground, at the entrance to the site, there is salt, coins, palm oil and even meal left there as offerings. At the moment we were admiring the falls surrounded by lush greenery; we saw a beautiful rainbow. It truly added a little je ne sais quoi that made this visit a magic moment. Wildlife centre doing good work to rescue wildlife. The education team are very knowledgeable. Lots of primates including gorillas and chimpanzees. It is good to listen to a guide and hear about the stories of some of the animals and how they came to the wildlife centre. See more..

First of all. many post show ocean view??? its inland., Visit Takes 1 hours, 1.5 max. Take a guide! Mine was Samuel. Very knowledgable. The medicinal part is a little long but it's the first area. It will go quickly after. Prices are : entrance 1000 xaf (1.5 Euros) Guide : 1000 xaf (1.5 Euros) (Buy him a soda before you go! 600. water is 500) Fe to take photos is 2000 (3 Euros) Just pay it! It's to protect a nice area. There is not much visitor, they already lost over 150 hectars. i think 48 is left. I did the botanic garden and the wildlife center in 3 hours and i took my sweet time. Did not try the restaurant but the one in the wildlife is very nice. See more..

The beach itself is just average. Some areas have lots of litter and trash on the shore. You can get great grilled fish in the area. Also they periodically have local ocean canoe races which are fun and is a fun party atmosphere. It's overall a fun place but it's not very pristine and located near a busy section of town.
