   Lived for 9 years in Banfora and loved the waterfalls. They are quite straightforward to get to, though the dirt road can be a bit rough. The climb up to them is fairly easy and very safe. Worth spending 2000 Cfa on a guide. They know the area well and will help with carrying things and keep you safe. The Domes de Fabedougou are also worth a visit. You can do both at the same time if you like walking. A beautiful, refreshing place to spend a day. See more..

   The Peaks of Sindou is a marvelous geoological beauty that is worth a visit if you are in Burkina Faso. A part of the escarpment that goes all the way to Dogon Country in Mali, the peaks are a geological marvel to behold. It is a short climb up to the plateau (we had a guide who was excellent) where you can walk around and click away as everywhere around you is a just quite a sight. It is a great way to spend the morning or late afternoon (might get too hot during the middle of the day). Bring water, sturdy walking shoes and your sense of marvel and geological appreciation!
