I did a 4 days tour (3 days in the jungle and 1 day in the pampa). Norman, the guide was perfect. He was able to spot several monkeys and parrots in the jungle, plus tons of insects and even a snake. In the pampa we saw lots of caymans, capibaras, birds and we got the chance to swim with the pink dolphins (scary but cool in the murky wathers). I was sick the first day and he prepared an infusion with some forest leaves and wood which did help me a lot. The lodges are pretty cool and the food was always delicious. If possible try to spend at least 3 days in the jungle and 2 in the pampa as there are lots of things to see and do. Thanks Norman, to you and your crew, you have been just perfect. See more..

The most incredible tour I’ve done on my South America trip so far. We researched a lot of companies before we settled on Yuruma for being the most eco conscious. And it surpassed expectations! Sandro our guide is from an indigenous community so is incredibly knowledgable and respectful of the animals and environment. All the money goes back into the community. We did the pampas and the mididi tour and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The food was fantastic, the team were lovely and the accommodation was comfortable. Oh my god it was dreamful and we would have stayed for weeks there in the jungle if possible! It was the most adventurous tour ever and we saw so many animals. You literally sleep between trees and in the morning can hear the monkeys and birds wakening you smoothly up. The sleep was the most resting we have ever had. We could do so many different activities and could alter the program or do the activities our guide recommended and had planned for us. If the weather was bad you could do some artwork or reflect/investigate in books and with the guide's help the animals you had seen. It was always clean and the service was excellent. The cook would prepare delicious foods and in an abundance, like fresh fish from the river prepared in bamboo! Always three courses! Our guide Leo was a professional and a really kind and interesting personality. He fought to make the place a reserve to protect the nature and animals and hat to tell many interesting stories! Best guide for this kind of activity as he has lived in the region and knows the ways of the jungle! You have to go there and stay as long as possible in this paradise!!! See more..

Me and my girlfriend booked a 3 days 2 nights pampas tour with sunset travel and compared prices upfront with similar companies. Sunset was half the price the others were asking for and offered the same things to do and to see. The price difference is probably in the accommodation and the cars but we were happy with it. Furthermore, our guide Juan Carlos was very well informed and wanted to show us the real experience. His knowledge about the animals and wildlife is stunning and he’s got a good eye spotting the animals. The food was the best we ate so far in Bolivia and enough for all. Don’t forget mosquito repellant and long clothes. Oh, and Juan Carlos just found a 2 meters long Anakonda with its babies. He took care of the animals and didn’t want us to touch them without washing our hands etc. Big up for this company even though the accommodation is super basic! Feels like going in the wild! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience in the Las Pampas. Sunset Travels was the way to go! Spending our time in the Amazon with Nivardo as a tour guide really topped the experience, if you’re looking for a friendly, welcoming and comfortable tour guide I would make a special request for this man! As a group we really enjoyed seeing the interesting wildlife and venturing through the Amazon, we learnt a lot, as well as had a fantastic time. However, we weren't very happy as he couldn't take us on our jungle tour the following day… all jokes aside, I would say one thing, if your going to Las Pampas, GO WITH SUNSET TRAVELS!!! See more..

Unbelievable place ,we saw about 30 of the worlds rarest Macaws but being a non birder the highlights were seeing Giant Anteaters and a spectacular encounter with a Maned Wolf which was the main reason to the visit. I just got back from a great trip with CLB. They organized a completely private and customizable tour for a reasonable price. If you loved birds I would particularly recommend this organization. We had a specialized ornithologist accompany us for must of the trip! We did a tour looking for the ancient artificial remains of the pre-columbian civilization that is thought to have made wide scale hydraulic engineering and maybe, just maybe, have been at the center of the El Dorado Myth. They can do group and other types of tours too. Marina was our tour and driver. They are very flexible and patient. I found her reliable and thoughtful. We had a private tour with our own vehicle. This is great but expect that renting a private car (the company rents it for you) is about Bs. 600 to Bs. 800 per day. I recommend being in touch with them before you go and asking for an itinerary. Make sure to bring cash as credit cards aren't wide accepted in Beni. See more..

Vanwege de gelijkenis en nabijheid van Madidi National Park en de diversiteit aan habitats die worden verkregen door de grote hoogteverschillen, heeft Pilón Lajas een uitzonderlijk rijke flora en fauna. Schattingen suggereren dat Pilón Lajas tussen 2000 en 3000 plantensoorten kan herbergen en een enorme diversiteit aan vogels. Nu houden wij van vogels en kunnen we dus uitgebreid genieten!

Het park is minder commercieel dan Madidi maar zeker de moeite waard.

Wij zijn 6 dagen bij de Mapajo Ecolodge geweest. De community die deze ecolodge opgezet hebben zijn uitzonderlijk vriendelijk en heel prettig in de omgang. See more..

Max Adventures provided us with a great jungle experience! We participated in the three day tour and it was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Our tour guide, Jimmy, along with our cook Jacob, were great guides! Jimmy was funny, charismatic, and very knowledgable. He made for a great experience. We had a group of 4 "campers" which made for a great time. I would highly recommend the 3 day tour with Mad adventures! Tips for those going on the trip - bring lots of bug spray! You will be eaten alive, but best to take precautions. Also, if you can fit a small travel pillow in your backpack - do it! You will be happy you did.
