Luckie and Kevon braved the waves to pick us up from Tobacco Caye on a day when they cancelled all their other tours. We hired them for a private snorkel tour as a way to snorkel the reef and also get a water taxi from Tobacco Caye to Hopkins. We asked to see some manatees and Luckie knew right where to go, and we got lucky and saw a couple. Both of them offered so much information to us and constantly checked in to see how we were fairing in the rough waves. Lots of laughter and good music, (and water), on the ride back to their dock, we always felt safe. We ran into Kevon in town the next day and he remembered us, and our names, and gave us great advice on a place to rent bikes. These folks go above and beyond, this is our second time going out with Happy Go Luckie and we highly recommend them if you’re in Hopkins and wanting to go out on the water. We were able to get a last minute booking for the Antelope Falls hike and water rappelling and I am SO glad we did! Our guides were awesome and took great photos of us swimming and rappelling. It was pretty scary being up so high and rappelling down yourself but once you get over the ledge it was easier and such a thrill. I would absolutely do this again. This was the best diving I have ever done!! We booked 6 dives with Boo at South Water Caye at various locations. James, our dive master was superb! He took the time to point out everything and was very patient with us and took care of our every need. We dove two 3-tank dive days and had lunch on a beautiful island. The food and snacks were delicious! Bas joined us on our second day and was so helpful. After our last dive Boo spotted a manta ray on the surface and he said “grab your mask and jump in!” We did and wow!!!! I would recommend these guys to anyone! I'm sure the inner cayes are beautiful for diving too but Glover's was amazing! No tourist boats, quiet, serene natural beauty. We did this in a day trip but I'm sure it's even better if you can dive for days out here. Healthy reef, tons and tons of marine life. Totally worth the effort (and cost) to get here rain or shine! Two huge thumbs up! If you're thinking about, GO! Seemore Adventures out of Hopkins takes a minimum party size of two out here if you're struggling to find someone who will take your small party. I have hammock camped on this property now twice in three years. They keep doing more and more to this park and I love it! Upon arrival we were given a very good explanation of all the falls and nature around us, the guy upfront was very passionate about it. We hung out hammocks under a shelter for $10 a night and were very safe. We had a security guard there all night. The trails to the falls are superb! Our only complaint is the restaurant at the resort not telling us meals were in US dollars. I have spent 4 months in Belize and this was a first for us. I will be back. See more..

On our second trip to Belize we decided to try something new and have gained another habit we can’t afford :). We did the zip line and water tubing with Byron, Francisco, and Frederick. First - we adored all our guides. All were friendly, funny, and informative. The zip lining could not have been more amazing. I wasn’t sure if I would be scared…. No. I couldn’t get enough. They made us feel safe and we couldn’t stop smiling. The view was priceless and we could have done that all day. The river tubing was different than we expected with poor Fred having to pull us along in many areas of it, but was still a relaxing experience and we will explore more next time we return. Byron stopped and showed us farmlands on our way out and we enjoyed oranges, coconuts, and limes. Memories of a lifetime! See more..

Josie and her staff have been our tour operators for two years. They provide everything from airport transfers to private adventures and we love, love Gregory & Medz. By far our favorite tour is a full day of snorkeling and lunch at Bread & Butter Caye. While we were snorkeling Medz dove for lobsters & crabs which were grilled for our lunch. There were 17 ladies in our group and Josie set up reservations for us to snorkel in Plascencia and set up all our dining reservations. It rained a few days during our visit & Josie made reservations @ Jaguar Reef Resort where we dined & drank for hours in a beautiful open air restaurant, they then opened the two story bar out over the water where we drank and played games the remainder of the day. I did a lot of research on ziplining options in Belize before deciding on Angel Falls and I can say without a doubt I made the right decision. Great guides, long and fast ziplines and amazing views. Special shoutout to guides Donald and Andy who went above and beyond in making my mom feel comfortable for her first ziplining experience. They also capture amazing footage of all the action on your cell phone which is normally something you would have to pay extra for. We bid on this trip at a SCI banquet and decided to do a fishing trip for our 10 year anniversary. We went along with 2 other couples. Loved experiencing the traditional Belizean lifestyle! We stayed in South water Caye. It’s absolutely beautiful. The accommodations aren’t “5 star” but more rustic, and that’s what we loved about it. Fishing was great... from dock to trolling, drop line, inner and outer reef. Fav part was wahoo sashimi dock side! Snorkeling was the best I’ve seen yet. Staff so friendly and we felt safe. We did a number of tours with Uncharted Jewel, in fact they pretty much facilitated our whole Belize adventure. Ian, Sandy, and Minor were all amazing and we couldn’t have asked for more knowledgeable or accommodating guides! All our questions were answered from culture and history to biology and native agriculture. And when we decided to try a zip line instead of a second Mayan ruin on our cultural tour day Ian turned on a dime and negotiated us a spot at Angel Falls (the longest and the fastest zip line in Central America) while we were dining on some delicious local grub at Benny’s Kitchen! They even stopped at a local grocery store to let us get booze and snacks when we got back from a tour after our resort’s kitchen had already closed. The hike in Cockscomb National Park to swim at the base of Tiger Fern Falls was a highlight for me but you can not go wrong with any tour from Uncharted Jewel. They truly go above and beyond! We just finished up a full day snorkeling and fishing trip with Bert and James. Not only was this less expensive than booking through the resort, but we had a full day including catching lobster, conch, hooking lion fish and catching yellow tail snapper and having it all cooked up on a private beach. The guys were amazing and super fun to spend the day with. They would have kept going but we were stuffed full and worn out by 3:45. That’s the beauty of a private tour is you set the day! We had a great full day tour on the Cats Meow. They worked with us to conduct a fitting memorial for my late father, and Dory successfully accommodated our diverse dietary restrictions with plentiful food and drink. We had excellent snorkeling, but I did not understand how great it was until I did another snorkel with a different outfit. The Cats Meow excelled by providing a knowledgeable and attentive snorkel guide, Tuff Love; having fresh water available to rinse off with; and taking and sharing underwater photos. Elvin and his crew took us fishing, snorkeling and island hopping on our honeymoon trip. Elvin was knowledgeable and funny and showed us the best fishing spots. He got in the water and snorkeled with us, diving down to point out specific wildlife and animals. The whole crew was accommodating and nice. When we were coming back in from the all day trip the water had gotten choppy and rough but Elvin was a skilled captain and docked the boat impressively gently. One of my most memorable experiences in Belize and I have traveled throughout the country four times. We stayed at Palmento Grove and engaged in both the Garifuna Cultural Experience and Bioluminescence and Drumming excursion. The family who runs it is gracious and are wonderful teachers. We drummed with Boom-Boom, harvested casava, processed coconut from the tree to milk, and cooked a fabulous meal that included fish straight out of the lagoon.The island is idyllic and the cabins rustic, but very comfortable and high enough in the air for a lovely breeze and views. If you want to really learn and interact with the people of Belize, be sure to include Palmento Grove. See more..

Martin was great to work with from the first email I sent him. He picked us up, for free, at our resort which was all the way on the other side of Hopkins and brought us back after. The area (mangroves) that we paddle boarded was beautiful and the water was so clear that we saw various sea creatures, which Martin pointed out along the way. We had never done SUP before and Martin showed us and then led us through calm water so we could get used to it. It was a fantastic way to be introduced to the activity. The island we visited after was quaint and secluded with a full view of the ocean and excellent area for swimming. He brought pineapple and starfruit and water for everyone, plus took any photos of us that we asked. I'd do this again, in a heartbeat.
