Tragic love story
This is a place of a tragic love story, and the writing of the famous Chinese poem "Hairpin Love." The poem is on a wall in the gardens. The male hero is called Luyou and the female is Tangwan, who died of a broken heart. They were forced to divorce, and later met in the park and wrote poems to each other.

Typical Chinese Garden
This one is not as beautiful as the gardens in Suzhou, but worth your while if you're in Shaoxing. Just across the street from Luxun's old neighborhood, it's a nice place for a relaxing stroll with the usual lotus ponds, pavilions, corridors and flower gardens.

Totally Quiet!
Just about 300 meters from the Lu Xun historic area, Shen Garden is a very peaceful place with lots of trees and rocks. There were no flowers but the usual stone pathways, small ponds, and pavilions common in Chinese gardens. I can't say it was more spectacular than Suzhou or Wuxi gardens. There was no one there on the day we went, which was utterly shocking given that virtually every tourist place in China is filled with tourists. If you're in Shaoxing looking for something to do and you like nature this was a pleasant place to spend and hour. Given its proximity to the Lu Xun area, I recommend combining the two as part of the visit. The main sights in Shaoxing are fairly easy to do in a short amount of time. Maybe Luxun area in the morning, lunch nearby, Shen Garden in the early afternoon, followed by a short taxi drive to Zhou Enlai's ancestral compound for a look there.
