A nice beach in China
We were there just before the season start so paid only around 30 rmb each, definitely won't come there in peak season - too expansive and possibly crowded. Apart from that a nice area, quiet, good for a short gateway from Shanghai for example. There are all facilities there like toilet, shower and some snacks stalls and great Muslim bbq (you gotta eat your fingers off).

Too expensive just for a beach
Quite nice but simply too expensive just to see a beach. There are nicer options further away if you have a car and are flexible which are free of charge.

Busy, fun, touristy in August
Excellent beach with good, clean sand, gentle drop off, great waves, changing facilities and showers behind - so it should be at 70RMB per head to get in. You can rent a gazebo, tables and chairs by the hour (but 400RMB cash deposit). Lots of lifeguards. It was very crowded the day we went (a weekday in August) but me and my two kids had a great time playing in the waves. Behind the beach is a typical touristy town (Europeans will be reminded of many small Mediterranean resorts) selling floaties, hats and cheap Chinese meals. If you are up for a traditional family day at the beach this delivers but also charges. I imagine you need a car to get there plenty of parking near beach entrance.
