Nice river through the Chinese Old town
I like the landscape here so much. It so nice, so old and so peace with a river drain through the Chinese Old town. You can walk, along the old street like to comeback to the past several century.

One of Chinas largest sweetwater reservoires
Stayed at the new Sheraton. Near the hotel is a bar street with nice restaurants. On the back of the restaurant is a hill with a nice Spanish Restaurant on the top.

Nice mix of walking and riding in a boat
I visited Tai Lake with some work friends on a very hot Sunny morning in mid-July. The park is easy to get around, but it did help that we had a Chinese speaking person with us. The park consists of many areas around the lake as well as the islands. Using the boats to get between islands is part of the admission. The are not a lot of tall trees so make sure you have a hat and bring water. There is a store at the entrance and a store / restaurant at one of the boat stops. It was a very nice park and there were very few visitors that day, so we never waited very long for a boat. I did some bird watching while I was there saw dozen or so species in a few hours. The paths are paved and the whole area is pretty flat. There were great flowers and lost of mushrooms. One fully thing was two large sculptures sitting out in a field. One was a large bowl of fruit and the other was a large bowl or vegetables. I think this is great for a half day visit ending with lunch at the restaurant or in the little town nearby.
