Testament of a cruel business
Small black and white columns connected with blood-red seams commemorating the slave trade in front of the historic houses where the culprits worked. Unscrupulous Protestant traders from Zeeland shipped thousands of people from the West coast of Africa to the Americas as if they were cattle. It happened during the 17th century a bloody age. The text on the monument 'from the ancestors' 'to the children' ; 'future' and 'community'

Landmark of the town
The water fountain with monument in front of the old town houses were landmark of the area to mark the slave trade in the Netherlands. Just took a few photos for memory.
