    Great wildcat experience
We really enjoyed our visit in Tenikwa. Originally we wanted to book the private tour, but as we were the first guests of the day, at 09:30 we took the group tour, which was similar to a private tour in our case and absolutely lovely. We got lots of information about all the wild cats from Ash our guide, who was very friendly and answered every question we had. We also got the chance to come really close to the animals and take nice pictures of them. For us it didn’t feel like a zoo, because the cages were huge and gave a good feeling of their natural living space. The main focus and goal of the facility is to rehabilitate injured animals and bring them back to wild, but those animals can’t be seen. The wild cats we saw were all for some reason not able to go back to wild and therefore get the best possible surrounding and living space. We also saw a couple of other animals besides the wild cats and are happy to have made this tour and have gotten Ash as a wonderful guide.

    Fun, friendly, informative tour
We opted for a one hour big cat experience tour. Ended up being a private tour as we were the only family there. Metobyci (pronounced Muh Toby C) was so knowledgable and friendly. We learnt a lot about the animals, and Metobyci was happy to share about his family life etc. He was patient and was determined that we would see everything. Absolutely fascinating. My son treated himself to one of their ornaments as a memory of the lovely morning we spent there. Had a toastie snack and used the very clean bathroom facilities to get changed into, ready for a kayak trip we were doing in the afternoon. The staff were fine about this.
