    Very scenic! Well worth it.
We thoroughly enjoyed it. The fall foliage was at its peak, so the view of the colors and the scenery was fantastic. We were fortunate enough to ride the gondola by ourselves, and its fairly a long ride, so we had a blast. Not much at the landing at the top…small cafe, gift shop and a few areas where you can sit and/or take photos. There is a trail that you can hike to go higher and get a view of the Champlain Lake, but we didn’t have enough to time, so we skipped it. According to the staff, you’ll need sufficient time to make the hike. So we spent about 30 minutes at the top enjoying the view and then rode the gondola back. It was worth the price. Sufficient parking at the base, but it can get crowded, so go early in the morning or late in the afternoon during busy season.

    Great slopes and nice service
My family and I came here right after Stowe had a season record high snowfall. Conditions were awesome! Views from the Gondola and Four Runner Quad were excellent on a sunny day. Because we avoided weekends, we also avoided any terrible lines. Maybe the Gondola twice took us about 10minutes to get on. But the lift operators, scanners were very nice. One day, most lifts were closed due to wind. I asked one lady at the ticket counter and she was not helpful, but other employees offered as much info as they could. The one day I had to get a code for free parking (because we had 4 people in the car), the parking attendant stayed with me to make sure I entered everything in correctly. Even later when I had to stop by guest service for a question, she went above and beyond to help me. That is real nice service! The only complaints about the mountain was that there were a lot of flat areas. For a snowboarder (and the little kids on skis) it was a bit frustrating. I saw a lot of people getting stuck going to Sunrise lift from any directions. And from Sunrise or Four Runner Quad to the Gondola, our kids had to walk at least 5-10minutes. They were exhausted at that point (and that happened to be the day the Gondola closed right when we got there!) Also, the Mansfield Lodge needs some updating. The Spruce Lodge is very nice, but the Mansfield Lodge is old and outdated. And the bathrooms smelled terrible in that lodge. Overall, I would not hesitate to come back to Stowe. We had a great experience as a family here.
