    Unexpectedly Good!
We went to Pico during a busy weekend when Killington told us their ski school was sold out. We found Pico to be a great place with staff much more attentive to one's needs than other larger resorts. Our kid had a great day in the ski school. despite below 0F temps we all enjoyed the slopes.

    Great Family Mountain in Vermont
Living in Vermont, we have many options for ski areas, with Pico being our favorite. My daughter is a snowboarder and my husband and I ski. We live close, so we spend quite a bit of time at Pico. The staff and instructors are very friendly and helpful. My daughter had taken private lessons at Pico to work on becoming more comfortable snowboarding on more difficult trails and her instructor is fantastic. The money for the hour private lesson is expensive, but worth it. I believe that a group lesson is much more adorable if you have enough people. The mountain is big enough to really enjoy and navigate, but not too big to get lost. Even when Pico is busy, it is still very easy to find parking and have a great day. The conditions rarely disappoint us.
