    Great ski weekend
Our family just returned from skiing Okemo and we had a great time. We were worried about the long lift lines but we did not experience any. One of my kids took a lesson and it was well worth it. The biggest challenge was navigating the new Covid restrictions which no one informed us before we arrived. There is no lodge to warm up in. If you want time indoors you must reserve a table the morning of at 7 am. The reservation is only good for 30 minutes. The food is limited and mostly prepackaged. The skiing was excellent and everyone working there were doing their best to guide everyone through the new environment. We only found very friendly and helpful staff working on the mountain. Highly recommend for a place to ski.

Vail Resort Management has Auspicious Beginning.
The verdict on the Vale takeover is in, and its mostly disheartening. as local property owners and longtime season pass holders, We like the cost and ease of the new season epic pass, however staff, training, and overall operations have taken a big hit with long poorly managed lift lines on holidays, and stingy snowmaking. The Epic restaurant now rebranded as "43° North" is flat out ruined with a lacluster reduced menu, and absolutely glacial service. Expect to spend 1.5 to 2 hours getting your food, but the good news is you probably won't need to wait to be seated like you used to because everyone is catching on... I was there New Years weekend for a 12:00 lunch on a Saturday and the place was 2/3 full. We are going to give them one more year to see if they get their act together and if not we will sell our home.
