    Spectacular Views & Great Hiking
Owned and run by Stowe resorts, Mt. Mansfield is the tallest mountain in their system. The toll road is accessible only in the summer months ($36.00 toll for two) as it is fairly steep going up the 4.2 mile gravel road. Once you park, you can then hike to the top of Mt. Mansfield, 1.5 miles one way and allow between 60-90 minutes. Best to wear hiking sandals/shoes as there are often steep inclines and could be wet. There are porta potties, but the visitor center has been long closed. Bring your own bottled water. Also recommend to arrive early as the parking lot only holds 36 cars. Views are spectacular and makes you want to come back in the winter to go skiing. If you want to spend more time here, there are other trails but the hike to the top is by far the most popular.

    Beautiful Views from Mount Mansfield
We took the gondola ride to Mount Mansfield on a beautiful sunny day. It was not too crowded, since we went mid-week, so we got in the gondola as soon as we paid. No lines. It's a beautiful ride, but the views from the top are gorgeous. You can spend as much or as little time as you want walking around and taking pictures. They have a tower you can climb to get pictures, as well. Smooth ride to the top. Certainly worth the price.
