Kaiservilla was a small villa located up a hill which contained furniture, decor and other possessions of Emperor Franz Joseph. The most astonishing thing were all the antler heads lining most of the walls. The tour guide said that he personally killed about 50,000 animals during his life time which I found repugnant.See more..
Not for being big and not for being nice to visit inside. The location on a small island makes it special. Amazing how they used every inch of this small island when they built it, this is why the castle has an irregular shape, but you won't notice unless you see my aerial pictures, attached. write me if you want to see the whole video. Exhibits were terrific ... one entire room in mosaic tile including the ceiling. The mariners musuem portion was excellent for anyone with an interest in navigation. Pottery from the 15th century, beautiful! A true treasure along the Danube.See more..

Some Count lives in it and visiting hours are to be set ahead of the time, based on availability and event. There are concerts and wine tasting events but hard to get in especially if you are just passing by. The only thing we could see is from above, were flying a drone. See pictures attached. Since the other reviewers explained in more detail what there is to see I will keep mine short. Schloss Hartheim was 1 of 6 gassing installations in the T4 Euthanasia program. The memorial site includes the gas chamber and crematorium area. Approximately 18,000 people who were physically and mentally disabled were murdered here. It is pretty a self guided tour. They have brochures that explain each area. There is also a grave area outside. I also want to add that while I understand the need to rate this place I have a hard time doing so. I am very big into history, particularly Holocaust History. I feel that these places need to be visited to keep the victims stories and their memories alive.See more..
Had to stop at Enns for refueling NPG Gas. Decided to make a lunch break here. Had no time to visit the castle. But looks really nice from outside. Everithing in a short walking distance. Worth a visit.See more..
