Bathtub Reef Beach, Florida, United States

4.5 (554 reviews) Spent Ranking #5 in Stuart Beaches

Perfect spot for young children

Perfect for small children. The rocks break the waves and create like a pool of shallow water. It is absolutely perfect for young children to play in less than a foot of water. For adults that wish to snorkel or dive, go out beyond the ‘breakers’. If I had a raft, I would have laid out in this calm water for the day, and probably fried. There are lifeguards. This location has restrooms. Free too, no parking meters.

    Nice beach and boardwalk
We enjoyed our short visit here. There is a nice beach and also a walk across the street along the mangroves. We really enjoyed visiting the Eliott Museum nearby which has lots of old cars.

    Bathtub Beach is CLOSED
Bathtub beach is closed due to erosion! How sad☹️. We walked down from the Sandpiper condo (Marriott) to see if anything was left. I dont know if they can ever fix the beach. Maybe the Army Corp of Engineers can fix more erosion. This was a serene and beautiful spot where you could snorkel, wade around and enjoy nature surrounding you. Hopefully it will be back again and open to the public once more.
