This island is off a romantic movie. Its a must do while you re around. Many boats can take you there, but be aware that you have to pay a 5 real fee to visit the rock area. Ask the local guide to tell you all the miths and legends of the place and be amazed.See more..
I took the schooner out to this point, with my snorkeling gear. Huge disappointment, crowded boring boat ride, not much to see when I got there. It's kind of a tourist trap I'm afraid to say. I'd say go privately if you possibly can.See more..
I read the reviews here and on his of this island, and basically everything has changed. You can kayak out to an area behind the reef where the kayak company is doing the bautismo diving. There is snorkeling in the area but lots of people kicking up silt and sand, so poor visibility. There were lots of a few kinds of fish, and some starfish if you turn over rocks, but overall I thought the snorkeling at first beach was much, much better. The palm tree is no longer standing on the island, and three kayak company wouldn't let us in the island itself. This is definitely not worth the effort to snorkel, go to first beach instead.See more..
