Great walk from the big parking lot in Scituate Harbor (near the gazebo on Cole Parkway) along the Harbor Walk (by Museum Beach) to Lighthouse Rd. Lots of sights along the way. If you have small children or don't want to walk this distance, there is a decent parking area that was not full (and free) near the light house. We went during the week in August late afternoon and there was available parking. See more..

This magnificent bell tower has 121 spiral wooden steps to the top, where bells are rung that play songs. The view is breathtaking. The Scituate Historical Society that manages these landmarks is a wonderful organization, as most Historical Societies are. The buildings are open only on certain days of the year, so make sure you take advantage on those days. The volunteers are incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. It's great for young and old alike. Our family, personally, loves to take in history. You should too! See more..

Great place to park right in Scituate Harbor. Can walk to nearby restaurants and shops. We even walked along the Harbor Walk by Museum Beach all the way to the Scituate Lighthouse. There are many plantings maintained by the garden clubs and businesses. Lots of great views of boats/harbor and the lighthouse. There didn't appear to be a charge to park there (we were there late afternoon in August close to dinner time). See more..
