    Located just a stone's throw from the county courthouse on the town square, this is a very nice park. We were there in December when it was set up for the Christmas lights. What a beautiful place. It is easy to imagine the community gathering here in the summer to cool off in the pond, which has a nice little beach. The water mill and pump house, the water fall, the walking path and grounds all come together to created a wonderful public space. Loved it! See more..

    While the San Saba River Nature Park has nice paved walking trails and historical information, this park (which connects to SSRNP) has the same look, but doesn't really have walking trails, but does have lots of family things to do like wide open grassy areas, picnic tables and a playground. Both are close to the river. See more..
