Beautiful place to visit ... just like the pictures

Went over for a day trip (12 to 4 cause of tides/boat landing). It was everything we imagined. Lovely set up with plenty of places to sit & sun bathe. Annoyingly there were para surfers there as well & they took many of the goods spots to leave their gear whilst out on the water. We found a nice spot to spend our time and got food & beer from the restaurant which we enjoyed the variety on offer. We had plenty of swims in the beautiful clear water and just went wow how good is this. Highly recommend as a place to visit. There are small huts & tents if you want to spend the night which we would definitely consider if we ever visit again.

White Sand Beach @ Bintan - Wonderful but a little disappointed with the experience.
Found out about the place from YouTube videos. Made it a must visit during our stay at Bintan. Staff and all were great but the stuff on the island were disappointing. Looked forward to sitting on the swings erected from the water but couldn't reach there as the waters around the swings were deep and full sharp rocks. Need to be a swimmer to reach the swings. The changing and shower room were a scary experience. A number of flying insects - bees/wasps at the 3 shower rooms (middle one had the door off the hinges). Water flow was too little. Couldn't rush through washing up n changing peacefully with the problems. The staff on the island n during boat rides there n back were friendly and helpful. But the island and its waters was simply wonderful and private - only our family of 4 were the visitors at one point. But caution not to go in December during the monsoon period. Waves were too choppy during the boat ride and transparent canoe activity wasn't allowed. I definitely will visit again but not in December.

Pristine island spoilt by new development
We have visited the island multiple times in the past and it was always one of the highlights of our trip. The relaxed athmosphere and nature were major draws. Unfortunately, with the new bar coming into place it changed into a raving club-like vibe with extremely loud music. If you are looking for a relaxing gateaway, be wary of that, unless the management changes the style to a more fitting music and ambiance.. Currently, at least in my opinion it's a complete style mismatch.. Hopefully it will change for the better, blending more into the tranquility of the island instead of changing it 180 degrees into another Pattaya like beach club...
