Not easy to find keep trying to find the gorgeous rock formations and beach

These are inside Prince Edward National Park. I couldn't find an actual address to use for our map app to get to them so I tried using the address to the park, which took us to the wrong parking lot. Staff told us to go out that lot and left at the light but not good signage after that. Asked again and got to the correct gate. Park personnel confirmed they were in that area. $16 for the car for the day quite a bargain for we four adults we figured we'd just look at them and take photos and that would be it. Instead, if you follow the signs to Rustico Beach you can go down to beach level and wade and/or walk over closer to the scenic hold in the formations. It was a beautiful day and so relaxing to hang out there for a while this ended up being one of our favorite things for the week we were in Halifax and Charlotteville.

    Beautiful Scenery
Amazing to drive on the coast and see the cliff formations. There are some areas that have little beaches, so you can walk right down. As this is in a National park there is a fee for adults and seniors. Kids/teens are free. We were not sure if we wanted to pay the $17 for 2 adults, but it was worth it. Since there are some beaches you could spend the day there with the family. There weren't too many people. There is also a bike path along the road.

Rugged Red Sandstone Cliffs with Lingering Memory of Green Gables and A Moving Memorial Stone
During our shore excursion from the “10-Day Canada and New England” cruise aboard Caribbean Princess ship, we visited Cavendish Cliffs on the way to the Green Gables memorialized by Lucy Maud Montgomery’s “Anne of Green Gables” book. The rugged red sandstone cliffs overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the beaches were familiar scenes from the book and the films based on the book. While walking around the area, we came across a memorial stone with a plaque with Canadian flag and very moving inscriptions on it: “They will never know the beauty of this place, see the seasons change, enjoy the nature’s chorus. All we enjoy we owe to them, men and women who lie buried in the earth of foreign lands and….. seas. Dedicated to the memory of Canadians who died overseas in the service of their country and so preserved our heritage.” Viewing the Cavendish Cliffs and this moving memorial stone’s inscriptions was a memorable experience for us.
