Rompin State Park
This rainforest is pristine, it's 248 million years old and truly my "best first trip" ever. Rompin State Park @Pahang is distinct in its management and the accomodation it offers from its more familiar "sister" in Johor. The Rainforest Lodge is gorgeous, it's design friendly and thoughtful to human guests and local wildlife. We stayed 4 days & 3 nights on Full Board with hikes to the interior daily. One important tip, forget fancy hiking boots for these hikes, get a pair of Adidas Kampung/those ubiquitous rubber shoes that many local hikers swear by. Have at least 2 pairs of thick hiking socks on for extra comfort and protection. These are beautiful Riparian Forests and you will get muddy and soggy in places as you cross rivers and streams to places of astounding beauty.

Gateway to pristine nature
This is my 2nd trip to Rompin park. This time, 2 nights stay to experience what the park has to offer with my fellow buddies whom share the same passion for nature. We have good time here with the nature coupled with hiking activity to Padang Tujuh, night walk to experience the flora and fauna , chilling at Mahkota waterfall. The only activity we missed is the kayaking as the day before heavy downpour cause the water level to swell and not safe of kids. The staff in Rompin park ensured all our need are well take care of and they were friendly and accommodating. Food served there for breakfast, lunch and dinner was good and everyone enjoyed the variety of food during our stay. Everday different food menu. The chalet stay is very comfortable and cosy.bonus point for us is that the chalet room view is facing the stream. The water flowing sound it's like a therapy with a great view . They are adding more facilities for the visitors to experience more in this park as I write today. Hope to visit again.
