George Miksch Sutton Urban Wilderness Park, Oklahoma, United States

4.5 (4 reviews) Spent Ranking #16 in Norman Parks • Jogging Paths & Tracks

Tour de Prairie.

An urban wilderness walled in by cedar trees and Hedge-apple trees. It is really neat. You get an idea what Norman looked like before the Land Run. (Grassy and bumpy Haha) the trails wonder around a pond. Its a hole 160 ac quart section but the trails only cover a portion of that. No camping or bikes. Lots of wildlife if you know where, and what to look for. It has grasslands, wetlands, and woods.

Perfect place to stretch your legs
Loved the 1.3 mile trail in the woods around the lake. It seems well maintained, little to no garbage, mostly shaded and perfect place to bring the pups. Watch out for the offshoot trails as there is poison ivy around.
