It was worth the drive from Chiang Mai just to see the frescoes in this temple - which include the famous one showing two lovers - the man whispering sweet nothings to his girl. I attach a photo of one of the less famous wall paintings but giving a good idea of the local art style. The is a sculpture of the couple at the main entrance to to temple and a favourite photo spot for visitors.

Nan Landmark.....How anyone miss this place?
Picture of Couple seem so Classical as one of well-known pictures in Thailand. Many people come to take a picture with this couple. This Wat is located in prime area as you can visit Nan Museum or take Tram Tour at Nan Visitor Centre or eat Khao Soi at Khao Soi Ton Nam. Highly recommended.
