Lanna noble house.

The about 100 year old authentic Lanna style 2 storey teak house in a beautiful garden was once a residence of Chao Fongkham, a descendant of the former lord of Nan. It is now occupied by her descendants and becomes a well-preserved and worth visiting museum and learning space (entrance fee = 30 baht ; this place is less than 10 minutes driving from the city). Staffs were very nice. During our sightseeing inside the house, we dimly heard some traditional Lanna songs (made us really in the mood). Also, there was a Lanna weaving demonstration on the ground under the house. Recommend !

    Authentic Thai wooden house
This is a beautiful little tranquil spot which is 192 years old. The replica rooms are carefully attentive and the traditional feel is strong. There’s a few people downstairs demonstrating traditional northern Thai activities. With a visiting of in Nan

    A glimpse into Lanna culture
This place is an old northen-style house tuned museum. The former master of the house was an old thai royal called (Chao Fong Kham). The entry fee was only 20 baht per person. The ground floor: On the ground floor under the house, which was bulit on stilit, they demonstrate the production of traditional Lanna textile. They also sing a local song for you. In the house: You can see old rooms such as living room, guests room, and kitchen. Lots of beautiful silver wares were on diaplay. The rooms show where the old master would sleep, eat, or welcome his guest. There were many facinating piece of Lanna culture for you to see, so definitely bring a camera. There was not much else going on other than this but the entry fee was dirt cheap so I would rate it a five stars. Ps. The garden has a unique bell shaped flowers. I wonder what it's called!
