Secret Lagoon Beach, Mimaropa, Philippines

Amazing

This was our first stop on our island hopping Tour A. Our boat can’t get near the beach because of the rocks underwater and the low tide. Hence, a pair of aqua shoes is a requisite here. It’s okay if you don’t have one; our foreigner co-joiners on our boat, didn’t rent an aqua shoes too and yet they survived the sharp rocks You have to wait for a few minutes before getting inside the secret lagoon as people coming in and out are by batch based on the arrival of tourist boats. The entrance is a small hole that only one person can fit into. Visit should be timely with the low tide as you cannot enter nor out of the secret lagoon during high tides. The entrance is mostly covered when the water gets high. Water inside is a bit murky. Probably because of too many people inside Photos are usually taken by tour guides. They know the best angles for you

    Fun and exciting
To access Secret Lagoon you have to do a little swimming from where the boats anchor out. The surf was a little strong, but fun. It just added to the excitement. Bring water shoes of some sort due to the coral and rocks you'll have to navigate over to get to the opening of the lagoon. Once inside you feel that you are in the belly of a volcano. The water was cloudy inside due to all of the tourist walking around. No problem with that, as you are just amazed of where you are. No snorkeling while there, we only had enough time to get to the lagoon, take photos and relax for just a few minutes. This place can get very busy and you're waiting in line to get in while others are exiting. Still a wonderful place to see.

    Not really a Secret!
This is one of the stops on Tour A. It was supper crowded when we got there. Way too many boats and it was tricky trying to get to land. Once you get to land, there is a line to get into the hole to get to the secret lagoon. We waited about 30 min to get in and once there, there were about 40 people inside! PASS!
