Big Lagoon, Mimaropa, Philippines

4.5 (1.730 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Mimaropa Bodies of Water

This place is like a movie scene!

Even though it was a cloudy day when we visited here, the lagoon was still breathtakingly beautiful! The water is so warm and clear and the limestone cliffs looked just unreal. Can't even describe it, it is just something you need to experience. I would highly recommend booking the tour via El Nido Boutique and artcafe, not only because the paddling boats are inclusive but also because they took us here later the afternoon when most of the crowds were gone.

    Beautiful
It’s gorgeous here and well worth the 200 peso one time entrance fee into the big lagoon when you book the tour (it’s the last stop of tour A). You can just do the lagoons only but that’s for private tour and much more expensive than the normal tour. Life jackets are a must, you can swim in but you won’t be able to go in any further onto the lagoon without the kayak. 300 peso for the small to fit 2 and 500 peso for the bigger, kayak guys will bring it to your boat. I recommend renting a kayak so you can fully explore the lagoon, it’s huge and you can’t get to most of it without the kayak. There are men in the lagoon who ensure you’re wearing the life jacket and that no one without a kayak isn’t swimming into the lagoon. Also another man who stands on one of the rocks who can take your photo of you on your kayak in the middle of the lagoon, use him he’s great. You won’t regret visiting the lagoon.

    WONDERFUL
Boat Tour A brings you to the Big Lagoon, where you can rent a Kayak. I have seen many pictures, but now experienced it for real myself. How nice. Crystal clear water, beautiful scenery, and especially you have to go the far end, around the left corner. There you can bring your kayak in a cave and paddle through it, where there is a narrow exit at the end! So nice!
