Just like grandpa made
I’ve enjoyed Benton bacon for years so on a recent trip to Gatlinburg, we stopped at the Benton meat store. This place is legitimate! You can see the meat hanging in a room just like our ancestors cured meat. I bought a large whole ham for $80 and they deboned it for me . ( keep the bones for greens or beans). Very nice guys that are very helpful. I also bought a pound of bacon for $8, which sells in retail stores for $15. You can also buy deli meat, beef tenderloin and hotdogs. The best cured ham ever! Worth the stop.

Rare gem in this big world.
I have lived my entire life in East Tn and in my short 30 years I have tasted many different meats, cheeses, deli food, ect. Benton's is by far THE BEST I have ever tasted! My dad started buying meats and cheeses from Benton's about 8 years ago. He said he had never tasted anything so good since his young days when my grandpa raised his own food. My go-tos are always the bologna, pepper jack cheese, bacon, ham, steaks, hamburger, and breaded chicken strips. I could live off the pepper jack cheese alone! I haven't eaten another kind of bologna since eating my first slice from Benton's. Once you try it you just can't eat another kind. Mr.Benton is also one of the kindest people in the world. He makes you feel like family and that is how us native Tennesseans want everyone to feel and treat each other, like family.

Famous Smoked Bacon and Other pork products!
Bentons supplies bacon and other pork products to some of the best and famous chefs in the US, including 5 star restaurants. Smoked pork is their signature. If you are in the area, it’s worth time to stop in the small store front and purchase some bacon and country ham. The smoking plant is onsite. We happened to meet Mr Benton while purchasing bacon and he gave us a quick tour. What a humble, nice man! He has such a great success story that is a result of hard work, determination and a unique marketable product. Look for Benton bacon and pork listed on the menu when fine dining.
