    Fascinating visit
We spent a couple of hours here. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour: seeing the traditional costumes of the Sami people, seeing the parliament and learning about their governance, watching the film. The woman who toured us was very knowledgeable, very patient with our many questions and willing to be flexible with what she taught based on our many questions and interests. The examples of traditional clothing and household items was stunning. I especially appreciated seeing the weaving loom with the threads in place, the baby carrying cradles and the textiles. Be sure to spend some time at the gift shop as there is an incredible collection of woven items, stunning knives with reindeer carved handles and jewelry. We had lunch at the cafe: limited selection but high quality ingredients - loved the sandwich of smoked reindeer. It was a fascinating day!! Thank you.

    Interesting information on Sami culture.
A very interesting and interactive display of thr Sami culture presented in various forms. Also, the outdoor museum was one of a kind and haven't seen such indoor-outdoor museums earlier. Also, a very nice gift shop.
