Nice trip, worth to visit.

Sámi reindeer herder family living in Inari village. Usually from November to March we have few reindeers in our courtyard fence. When visiting our home you can meet, feed and photograph reindeer. You can familiarise our Sámi home and culture, participate handicraft workshop activity or cook local, traditional food of local reindeer meat or Inari lake fish with the host. You are warmly welcome!

wonderful visit to a Sami home and reindeer farm
Raisa introduced us to the cute reindeer on her farm and let us feed and pet them, then welcomed us inside her home where she shared a lot of information about Sami life. And we got to eat a delicious cloudberry pie which she baked for us! A visit here is definitely recommended for a firsthand encounter with the marvelous Sami culture of Finland's Lapland region. Raisa was a very nice host and her communication in English is excellent.

This is an absolute must whilst in northern Lapland
My teenage daughter and I visited this lovely family with small children and a few reindeer grazing the garden during the Christmas days. We spend a half day having fun by cooking together and making leather handcrafts which we were allowed to keep as souvenirs. Through our discussions we learned a lot about Sami history and current life. It is a most meaningful activity to do as it is a fantastic way to experience the connection between these amazing people and the beauty of northern Lapland. Inari proved to be the most quaint and quiet village we visited and yet offers all the typical activities like the more touristy places. We will be back soon. Reindeer Family and workshop in Inari is a bucket-list destination for sure.
