Christmas sparkle trip at ruka

Just got back from the 2 night christmas sparkle trip with Canterbury travel staying in ruka. Was such a magical amazing experience. My partner dislocated his knee a few months prior to travelling and I have emailed them to change accommodation as it was a very steep uphill walk to village - they didn't only change our accommodation they noted about his injury and when we arrive had a brought him a wheelchair ski thing incase on the bus and throughout the whole 3 days asked him constantly if he was OK and if needed lifts etc thus was all down the a boy called Sam who was our rep he was absolutely amazing and couldn't recommend him more. Brilliant at his job great with the kids and so organised. Thankyou Sam for all your hard work you made our trip!!

    Fantastic
All staff and activities planned were amazing. We went for Christmas and spent 5 days in Lapland, just so magical. All elves were good fun especially tricky dicky my sons favourite. The coach guides fun and professional. We had Elliot and Matt... they kept everyone happy.

    Canterbury Travel - Lapland Extravaganza
We travelled as a family of 5 (3 boys aged 11,8 & 6) from Gatwick to Kittila on 20th December on a Lapland Extravaganza day trip aranged by Canterbury Travel and what a fantastic day it was. We were met at Gatwick by a Canterbury rep who was very helpful and friendly and this set the standard for the rest of the day. There was a delay on the way out owing to weather and another on the way back but both were delt with really well by the Monarch Airways cabin crew. After a 3 hour filght we got to Kittila and changed into our snow suits and boots, it was a bit hectic in the changing area but that was down to the excitement of the the families and not at all down to the well prepared staff helping with the clothing. It was then off to Santa's village by sledges pulled by snow mobile. The scenery was fantastic and the snow twinkled it was like being in a fairy story. Every part of the day from there on was just one fantastic experience after another, sleighs pulled Huskys and Reindeers, snow mobiles for both the adults and kids, sledges and snowballs, hot food and drinks all day what more could you want. The visit to see Santa was the highlight of the day, my eight year old son said afterwards that he just knew that this Santa was the real one and the presents given to the boys were good quality too. We were given souvenir certificates and a dvd as part of the trip and the on site shop was no more expensive that the rest of Finland. On the way back from the airport to the hotel we managed to loose the bag with the souvenirs and presents in it. I called Canterbury Travel the next day to see if I could replace the certificates and dvd and they not only offered to send some that day but they also replace the presents too, a parcel arriving on the 23rd. I cant thank them enough. If you want a fantastic day out to see Santa with a company that really cares and gives great value for money then Canterbury Travel is the company for you.
