Long, clean, safe beach
A long golden sand beach backed by a few resorts and a whole range of bars and restaurants which all seem to offer good quality cheap food and happy hour(s) cocktails. Most offer deck chairs and sun umbrellas for free with little or no pressure to order food or drinks. Try Jai-Dee Home, my favourite.

Probably the best beach on the island
Long fine powdery sand beach with hardly any rocks (mostly the southern end). Swimanble whatever the tide. Beach backs onto a row of bars, restaurants and accommodation. Possible to go for a night out here without shoes.

Absolutely wonderful
It had been three years since our last visit here so it was great to be back. It was also reassuring to see it has hardly changed at all and it’s as beautiful as ever. The road runs right along it and there’s lots of shops and restaurants there as well. These are particularly good at sunset when you can sit on a beanbag and enjoy a cold beer whilst watching the scene unfold in front of you. It is generally very clean and safe and the sea mainly calm. It is also excellent for gaining good exercise by taking long walks upon it.
