Nice example of small town east Texas
It is an easy 3+ hour drive from the DFW area. The town has made a nice effort to attract visitors with interesting antique, gift and similar stores. Several interesting restaurants. Easy to find parking and most everything is within a few walking minutes. It was a very pleasant couple of hours and a nice escape from the bustle and traffic of DFW. If you want a sense of a nice, small town of east Texas and a look at the very pleasant, friendly and polite people of the area, go there.
