Hot and humid but a great view
A hard climb up a lot of steps on a very hot and humid day. I stopped at the half way point as it began to rain and thunderstorms were likely. My husband continued to the top and enjoyed the view but said you actually get a better view of the hill from lower down. Excellent view of surrounding area too.

Hike for Views
The visit to Moon Hill cost us ¥11 each, which was worth it. The path was a bit confusing, as we were unsure which route to take to get up the hill. However, we ended up hiking quite a bit, and getting a great view of the mountain.

Tough hike but beautiful views
Very difficult climb in the heat. Humid and hot. All shaded climbing, but very humid of course. One lovely local farm lady who was 65 made the climb with our family, fanning us at times, and giviing us correct estimations on timelines up the hill. She offered cold drinks at the top of the hill for reasonable prices. After a solid hike we were happy to support her efforts and camaraderie. Fantastic views at the top...just behind the moon. Worth it...but be prepared for the hike. My 6 year old loved it...saw it as a challenge. You can do it!
